Scattered strong to marginally severe storms will be possible early this morning across south central Kansas and the Flint Hills. Dime to quarter size hail and 50 to 60 mph wind gusts will be possible.A thunderstorm or two is possible along and east of the Flint Hills Friday. If storms are able to form, golf ball sized hail, 65 mph wind gusts, and perhaps a tornado would be the main concerns. This is a conditional risk, as storms may struggle to develop.We're continuing to monitor the possibility of severe storms Saturday afternoon through Saturday night. All severe hazards remain possible, along with the potential for heavy rainfall. Stay tuned as we continue to refine forecast details.Isolated to widely scattered strong to severe storms are expected to develop to our west late today, moving eastward this evening and tonight. Main concerns will be half-dollar-sized hail and 65 mph wind gusts, although an isolated tornado or two can't be ruled out.
